PvtPyle’s new blog

If you have been around FBMG or the gear community for any length of time, you have probably come across a post by PvtPyle. Sometimes, they are not always the nicest posts, but hey what are ya gonna do? Well, for those who have found it humorous or provocative in the past, he now has his own blog.

Before you go over there though, be warned. You will probably find something that will tick you off or offend you. But you wont be alone, if you can think for yourself you will be in good company. His blog is not designed to offend, but to comment on the world as he sees it and most of the time, the injustice of it all. The world is a big shitty place, full of fucked up people and maybe if Pyle points some of it out you can avoid it or help to change it and make things better.

FBMG news for the new year!

FBMG is very, very pleased to announce that we will be moving into our new building over the next two weeks! We are doing the interior improvements now and will begin moving the store into the new building next week after the Sandy gun show. The new address is 48 E. 13200 S., just a mile down Minuteman from where we are now!

All product will be on the main floor and the simulator will be in the showroom. The new location will have 30 parking places!!!! All ours, all right in the front. By the time we are done we will have a full line gun smithy with dura coating and parkarizing finishes available. We will be doing our own inhouse Saiga conversions in both the modern and the classic styles. (We are stealing one of the smiths from Vector to run the show and do our conversions.)  

Best of all, we have the room to build the largest indoor training center in Utah. Two bays with 12 lanes each @ 25m! We can conduct classes full time and still have 12 lanes available for walk in shooters. Plans are to begin construction and installation of the range within 6 months. We will be offering memberships to the range with substantial benefits for members.

All back ordered Saiga mags have been shipped

We shipped several hundred packages the day before Thanksgiving.  So if you had ordered as of about a week ago, it has gone out.

Saiga .308 20-round magazine update

We got the test springs yesterday.  They’re good to go.  So I should be taking possession of the first couple hundred tonight.  The remainder coming the beginning of next week. 

We’ll be cranking mags out as fast as we can and shipping them all next week.  We have enough parts on hand to fill all existing back orders, and then some.  So if you’ve been waiting on back order, you should be getting your mags here shortly.

I normally do these about once a quarter, but I’m doing this one a little early in celebration of STI giving California the finger.  They already weren’t selling to California’s regular people due to the idiotic drop testing rules, but they were still selling to law enforcement, but after microstamping passed, not anymore.  I believe this is either the 5th or 6th time we’ve done this group buy, and they’ve all been successful.

STI pistols are excellent.  Their single stack guns stack up or beat anything Kimber or Springfield has to offer, and on this group buy, I can get them to you at Kimber level prices.  STI’s double stack guns dominate competition pistol shooting for a reason.  I’ve got a lot of guns, but my STI Tactical is probably the gun that I shoot the best.

I’m offering STI pistols at killer prices. By ordering them in bulk, I get a super discount, and I can pass that along to you. 

I’ll be taking orders until December 1st.  At that point I’ll turn the order into STI.  Some guns are in stock and will ship immediately.  Most guns have about a 10 week turn around time from STI at this point in time.  So ETA on shipping to you would be early February. 

Unlike a lot of group buys, I don’t need any sort of minimum number of orders to proceed.  Basically anything I fall short on, I just buy more store stock inventory to reach the quantity necessary.

Come see us at the gunshow

Tomorrow is the gunshow at the South Town Expo Center in Sandy, Utah.  You can come and see us in the northwest corner of the building.  (walk in, hang a left, walk to corner, can’t miss us).

 We’re bringing the simulator, and letting folks play on it for free, which is always fun.   We’ll be teaching a couple of free classes also throughout the day, including our new 7 Saves lesson, where we take the advice that is given to in most police departments to officers involved in a shooting, and break it down for use by CCW holders and armed homeowners. 

Author of Utah Gun Laws, speaking at FBMG on November 16

Mitch Vilos, the premier expert on Utah gun laws, and author of the book, Utah Gun Law, will be speaking at FBMG on November 16th, at 6:00 PM.

 The latest edition of his book is in stock now.  I would recommend this to anyone interested in guns, concealed carry, or self defense.  Mitch is a great speaker, and will be available to answer questions. 

Saiga .308 magazine update

Good news on the gun store side of things.  In about 4-5 weeks we will be shipping our Saiga .308 twenty round magazines again.  These are the ones that we designed and manufactured here in Utah, and we haven’t had any for quite some time.  We’ll have enough to fill all the already paid for orders, and then some.  After that we’ll be getting more magazines in about ever 4-6 weeks after that.

 

These have been really popular, and the lack of availability was driving me nuts.  The original delay was caused by us revamping the manufacturing so that more of the small parts could be made in house, then our second delay was because some of those parts were out of spec.  Now we’re just waiting for springs, and we are good to go.
